Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive The Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment Directive 1999/5/EC establishes a regulatory framework for placing and putting into service radio and telecommunications terminal equipment (R&TTE) on the free market. The device carrying this approval was tested according to R&TTE Directives. The Symbol on R&TTE approved devices does include a NB number, which relates to the "notified Body", which has been involved into the approval. The NB number has 4 digits. A listing of all bodies can get found on the page of the European Comission.
